Xbox One Drops Microsoft Points in Favor of Real World Currency

Households will also only need one single Xbox Live Gold account

In addition to showing off some games and announcing the pricing and release window for Xbox One, Microsoft confirmed that they will finally be dropping the Microsoft Points system in favor of local currencies.

While we're on the subject of money—which might be scarce considering the $499 USD asking price for the November-dated console—Microsoft added that each household will just need one Xbox Live Gold Account.
