"Super Smash Bros." on Wii U and 3DS to Remove Tripping

Don't worry about randomly stumbling in next game

Those looking forward to the upcoming 3DS and Wii U edition of Super Smash Bros. now have another thing to celebrate outside of the addition of Mega Man and the Wii Fit Trainer: Tripping will not be included in the game.

According to designer Masahiro Sakurai, the much-hated feature—which had characters occasionally stumbling, falling, and becoming temporarily stunned when running in Brawl—is gone.

When asked about it, Sakurai responded through a translator, "To answer quite frankly, it will not return."

Anyone out there just breathe a sigh of relief, or will you miss randomly falling flat on your face?
