While speaking to Joystiq during E3, Super Smash Bros. designer Masahiro Sakurai was ready to divulge some information, but not all of it. One thing Sakurai is currently keeping behind closed doors is what happens when Kirby swallows the fighter's most celebrated new addition, Mega Man.
"A lot of what you're asking is still classified," Sakurai said. "As far as the physical appearance of Kirby, I think what you imagine is probably pretty close to what will actually happen." He then put his hands next to his head, signifying what? Mega Man's helmet? Our heads exploding as a character who takes enemy powers eats another character who takes enemy powers?
We'll have to wait to find out what happens in this unprecedented circumstance. On the subject of something with a more concrete answer, Sakurai did say there will not be cross-platform play between the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros.. Interaction between the two versions currently consists of the ability to transfer customized characters from 3DS to Wii U.
