VIDEO: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Sings "Mi" in New Ice Treat Commercial

Kyary's 2nd LP arrives on June 26

Exactly one week ago today, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s official YouTube channel uploaded a short + strange teaser video for her new song “Mi” with zero explanation. What did it mean? What future could it possibly portend for the rest of us?

Now, the veil of secrecy has been broken. “Mi” is the new campaign song for “Ice-no-mi” treats from Japanese confectionary kings Ezaki Glico (home of Pocky). Not only will the song be featured on Kyary’s new upcoming LP, but it will be totally inescapable as it plays across Japan in the form of the TV commercial seen below…

Fittingly, the Glico website has been updated with all kinds of Kyary and “Mi” related madness, including premium giveaways of the My Little Pony-esque Ice-no-mi vending machines seen in the commercial...

...although I can’t be bothered to figure out how to get my mitts on one, since the rest of the day is now devoted to hopping around the office going “MI MI MI MI MI MI MI MI MI MI MI MI MI” to all before me.
