A 57-year-old Japanese manga artist/illustrator Hisashi Eguchi is best known for his famous works baseball comedy manga Susume!! Pirates and transgender-themed manga Stop!! Hibari-kun!, both were serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from the end of the 70s to the early 80s. He also worked as a character designer for Hiroyuki Kitakubo's 1991 anime film Roujin Z and original character designer for Satoshi Kon's 1998 film Perfect Blue. Recently he is more famous for his female character illustrations for various advertising.
As an advertising campaign for its latest model Peugeot 208 GTi in Japan, Peugeot Japan has posted a short graphic novel with sound titled "Time Driver" drawn by Eguchi on its official site.
