Highlights from the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards Japan

Featuring Momoiro Clover Z, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and more

Some of pop’s biggest stars came out last night for the MTV 2013 Video Music Awards Japan, along with a handful of acts from the Western world. Held annually since 2002, the VMAJ’s are now one of the biggest music events in Asia, with viewership reaching an estimated half a billion households.

With your hosts Maeda Atsuko and Nobuaki Kaneko...

While we’re waiting for more of fun to be uploaded to YouTube or some other such streaming video site (because we REALLY want to see Momoiro Clover Z singing “Call Me Maybe” onstage with Carly Rae Jepsen…this happened), Gyao is hosting a very good video digest of the live performances and highlights that is (sadly) not embeddable, but you are strongly advised to click here to watch it!
