The Russians were the first to go to Space. The Americans were the first to land on the moon. Japan now aims to be the first country to send a communication astronaut-robot into space. While it's not the first robot to be used in space, Japan's manga-nurtured love for humanoid robots has lead the University of Tokyo, Toyota, and Dentsu Inc.to develop a cute, talking Hope-bot, due to be sent from Tanegashima Space Centre to the International Space Station on August first.
