Trigun's Yasuhiro Nightow Draws an Illustration for Jump Novel Prize for New Writers

The 1 million yen prize money will be given to the Grand Prix winner

Shueisha announced the theme illustration for the character novel category of the latest Jump Novel Prize for New Writers today. The illustration which features a man with a half-mecha face is drawn by Yasuhiro Nightow, who is best known for his Trigun manga series. The participants for the character novel category must create an original story based on this illustration. The 1 million yen (about US$10,000) prize money will be given to the Grand Prix winner. The application deadline is September 30. What kind of story can you imagine from this man?
