VIDEO: Capcom Shares 7-Minute "Strider" Gameplay Trailer

Classic hero returns to PC and consoles early next year

As a massive fan of Capcom's Strider series and character, I couldn't possibly let The Great Nate Ming have all the fun with the announcement of the new game. While we got a glimpse of the classic side-scrolling hero in action then, Capcom also recently revealed a full seven minutes of gameplay. Check it out below.

According to developer Double Helix (Silent Hill Homecoming, Front Mission Evolved, upcoming Killer Instinct revival), Strider moves at 8x his original speed in the new game, so large levels had to be designed to facilitate his mad dashing. While I'm really excited to see Strider making a comeback, I just hope they somehow manage to incorporate a soundtrack even half as bizarre as the one on Sega Genesis.

Strider is set to arrive on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in early 2014.
