VIDEO: Japanese Comedians Fight Knifehead to Promote "Pacific Rim"

Clearly movie's American box office struggles could have been avoided by a sacrificing some comedians' dignity

While it's difficult to argue that the movie was an outright financial failure, plenty of Pacific Rim's advocates would have liked to have seen the movie do better at the box office. Clearly, the its American promoters should have followed the Japanese model for goosing the film's popularly. Namely, humiliating comedians.


Here, Sharknife battles Naomi Watanabe (the sumo fighter) and Nankai Candies' Yamasaki "Shizu-chan" Shizuyo (the boxer).



The movie opens in Japan August 9th.
