"Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies" DLC Chapter Follows Up "Apollo Justice"

3DS game hits North America and Europe this fall

Capcom recently laid out the full details for Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies' Japanese downloadable content plans, from costumes to bonus chapters. Some of the DLC will be free, some will cost money, but one is guaranteed to excite fans of Apollo Justice

"Special Chapter: Turnabout Return" is a brand new case that bridges the gap between Apollo Justice and Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies. The story follows Phoenix Wright's first case after getting his badge back, and this one sounds particularly ridiculous.

Phoenix's first case centers on a trainer who dresses like a pirate and hires Phoenix to defend her orca against a murder charge. There's currently no release date or pricing information for the special chapter.

Other planned DLC includes costumes—Phoenix's suit from the original Ace Attorney games, Apollo's casual outfit, and Athena's schoolgirl uniform—pictured below. The costumes will be free until August 15, after which they'll be priced at ¥150.

There will also be deduction quiz DLC, the prologue of which will unlock after players wrap up the first Dual Destinies case. Three subsequent parts will be released throughout August for ¥150 a pop.

Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies is due out on Nintendo 3DS in the west this fall.
