Sentai-Style Indie Game "Chroma Squad" Meets Its Funding Goal

Behold Studios' game lets you manage your own Super Sentai TV show

In the world of cool Kickstarter game projects, the latest from Behold Studios—the folks behind Knights of Pen and Paper—looks pretty promising. Chroma Squad lets players manage their own TV studio that produces Super Sentai TV shows, and even engage in turn-based tactical combat. Best of all, the project hit its funding goal with 15 days to go.

Creating your own Power Rangers/Sentai-style show comes with a handful of duties, from purchasing equipment to hiring actors and battling the baddies of the week. It's all conveyed through charming pixel art, and is kicking and punching its way toward a late 2013 release on PC, Mac, and Linux. Behold Studios also has plans for an iOS and Android tablet version and possible PS4 and Xbox One ports sometime in 2014.

At the time of this writing, Chroma Squad's Kickstarter campaign is sitting at $63,514 of its initial $55,000 goal.
