Naruto Awa-odori Summer Dance Festival Kicks Off

Tuyachosaita, Naruto, Tokushima teams up with like-named anime

With over four hundred years of history and over a million visitors attending, Tokushima's Awa Odori is the most famous of many dance festivals held across Japan during the Buddhist Obon season in mid August. This year, Muyachosaita, Naruto, Tokushima is teaming up with the like-named anime for an August 9-11 event featuring a talk show with Junko Takeuchi (Naruto) and Showtaro Morikubo (Shikamaru), a mascot lead drop-in dance, stamp rally and more.
