One of the things keeping some folks away from PS Vita was no doubt the price, and Sony has finally taken a step to cut that down. A price drop was announced earlier today, putting the portable at $199 in North America and €199 in Europe.
That's down from $249.99 and $299.99 for both the WiFi and 3G/WiFi models, and retailers like Amazon are already selling at the new price.
As for those pricy memory cards, you'll still have to drop a decent chunk of change to get a larger one, but they're down, too. Now a 4GB card is $14.99, an 8GB card is $19.99, a 16GB card is $39.99, and a 32GB card is $79.99.
And hey, if you're just looking to get your hands on a PlayStation 3, the 12GB unit is also now $199.99.
