Level-5 (the house that Professor Layton built) has a new RPG / mobile app for iOS and Android in the form of Majin Station, wherein players must summon demons – based on titans of history like Nobunaga Oda and co. – to disrupt Japan’s transportation system.
The preview looks GREAT, which I guess can’t be too much of a surprise since it features animation from studio khara (they of the Rebuild of Evangelion films) and artwork by Yusuke Kozaki (No More Heroes).
You can watch the trailer for Majin Station, which is due in Japan this winter.
Majin Station features music and SFX work by Hiroaki Yura, who is also involved with another major project. Yura’s Creative Intelligence Arts company is spearheading Kickstarter’s first Japan-based video game in the form of Project Phoenix. This combination JRPG and RTS has a pair of aces up its sleeve in the form of art direction by Kiyoshi Arai (Final Fantasy XII and XIV) and music by Nobuo Uematsu, the legendary composer of the Final Fantasy series. Scheduled for worldwide release in 2015 for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android, you can learn more about Project Phoenix at the official home page. A video about the Kickstarter campaign is embedded below!
