Keiji Inafune's Mega Man-Style "Mighty No. 9" Reaches Funding Goal

Platformer currently sits at over a million bucks on Kickstarter

It was just yesterday that we posted about Mighty No. 9, a spiritual successor of sorts to Mega Man from former Capcom producer and Blue Bomber mastermind Keiji Inafune and his team at comcept. With 29 days remaining, the Kickstarter campaign has already resulted in successfully funding the game.


Around 18,000 backers have managed to raise $1,044,602 and climbing, well over the starting goal of $900,000. Mighty No. 9's all-star dev team—composed of former Mega Man talent, including the first game's composer, Manami Matsumae—plans to release the game on PC in 2015.
