"Mega Man" Successor "Mighty No. 9" Lands Spot on PS3, 360, and Wii U

Keiji Inafune's Kickstarter-funded platformer also coming to PC, Mac, and Linux

If you were holding out hope that Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 would make its way to consoles, it's time to celebrate. The Kickstarter-funded spiritual successor to the Blue Bomber officially hit the stretch goal that will bring it to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

With 14 days remaining in its campaign, Mighty No. 9 is currently sitting at an impressive $2,215,191, just past the amount needed to hit the current consoles. Next up for stretch goals is a Challenge Mode, extra end stage and boss, next-gen versions, and others that have yet to be revealed.

Mighty No. 9 will also be available on PC, Mac, and Linux when it's ready. The estimated release date is spring 2015.
