"Final Fantasy Agito" Will Be Localized, Square Enix Still Wants to Bring "Type-0" to the West

Square Enix recently filed trademark for mobile adaptation in Europe

A potential localization for Final Fantasy Agito rumbled even more recently when Square Enix filed a trademark for the title and logo in Europe. According to producer Hajime Tabata, who spoke with US Gamer, Agito "will definitely be localized," and there's even still hope for Final Fantasy Type-0

While Square Enix representatives clarified that Tabata's statement wasn't an announcement of an overseas release for Agito, it does sound pretty hopeful. Tabata added that the changing portable market and fan enthusiasm for Type-0 has renewed the company's interest in bringing it to the west via PlayStation Network.

It's far from a guarantee, but it'll have to do for now. Final Fantasy Agito is a mobile adaptation of Type-0, so the two are considered companion titles. It's currently due out on smartphones in Japan this winter.
