"The Last of Us" Story DLC Arrives with New Character This Winter

Single-player narrative is due as part of Season Pass around December or January

Over on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli detailed some of the upcoming DLC for The Last of Us. In addition to Season Pass downloadables like a new map pack, the team is cooking up a fresh single-player story that introduces a new character.

Naughty Dog recently wrapped the casting process for the character, and the story promises "strong ties into the narrative The Last of Us." No additional details were provided, but performance capture kicks off next week, and the DLC is currently planned for release around December/January.

In the meantime, the Abandoned Territories Map Pack arrives for multiplayer on October 15. Maps in the pack include Suburbs, Bus Depot, Hometown, and Bookstore. The third piece of the Season Pass will also be multiplayer-centric, and is scheduled for the first half of 2014.
