"Legend of Korra" Ratings Dive After Last Week's Schedule Change

Rating for "Book Two" started at worrying levels and got worse

TV rating for Legend of Korra started remarkably weak, and just got more concerning since then. Korra’s second book  premiered on Friday, September 13 at 7:00pm to an average of 2.6 million total viewers for the hour-long opener. The second week dipped to 2.2 million viewers and the third move up slightly to 2.4 million viewers. Then came week four, in which the bottom fell out.

On October 4th, the show dropped to an average of 1.1 million viewers, placing outside the top 100 for the night.

A change that bumped the show from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, announced on Twitter two days before the airing, and Spongebob re-run lead were widely credited as reasons for the drop.

The series premiere in April of 2012 brought in 4.5 million viewers. The show's lowest-rated episode of the first season recieved 2.9 million viewers, and overall averaged about 3.5 million viewers per episode, leading observers to call season 2 a flop from the beginning.

So, if you want to show your support for Korra, you might want to tune in tonight,
