2014 "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" Anime Visual and Staff

Masahiko Komino replaces Takako Shimizu as character designer

The site for the 2014 adaptation of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part III: Stardust Crusaders has launched, and with it comes a new visual and staff listing.

Stardust Crusaders, the only of the series' eight parts to be released in English, was previously adapted into two OVA series in 1993 and 2000. The horror/travelogue introduces super powered alter egos called stands, which became a pillar of the franchise going forward as it follows brilliant delinquent Jotaro Kujo's search for the vampire Dio Brando.

Staff on the 2014 anime includes:

Creator: Hirohiko Araki

Director: Naokatsu Tsuda

Series Director: Kenichi Suzuki

Series Composition: Yasuko Kobayashi

Character design: Masahiko Komino

Animation Production: David Production

Masahiko Komino, an animator on David Production's 2012/2013 adaptation of parts I and II, replaces Takako Shimizu as character designer.

The characters featured in those OVAs have been recast for the upcoming All-Star Battle fighting game. A new anime is likely to re-use the same talent.

Jotaro Kujo - Daisuke Ono (previously Juurouta Kosugi)
Noriaki Kakyoin - Kōji Yusa (previously Hirotaka Suzuoki )
Jean Pierre Polnareff  - Hiroaki Hirata (previously Katsuji Mori)
Mohammed Avdol - Masashi Ebara (Previously Kiyoshi Kobayashi )
Hol Horse -  Hōchū Ōtsuka (previously Norio Wakamoto)
DIO - Takehito Koyasu (previously Nobuo Tanaka)

Tomokazu Sugita, who voices young Joseph Joestar in the anime, voiced the older Part 3 aged version of the character for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle DLC.
