Japan Gets a "Metal Gear Rising" Special Edition in December

Raiden slices up some more with DLC included for ¥2,480

I'm all about this story, because Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance might be still be my favorite game of 2013. Japan is getting a second helping of Raiden's over-the-top action game with a special edition release due out on PlayStation 3 on December 5.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Special Edition comes in a metallic silver jacket, and packs the full game with all the post-release DLC. For those who lost track, that includes 30 VR Missions, the playable Jetstream Sam and Blade Wolf stories, the Snake Soul Wooden Sword weapon—you know, the one with Solid Snake's voice—and five costumes for Raiden.

The featured costumes are Cyborg Ninja, Metal Gear Solid 4 Raiden, White Armor Raiden, Inferno Armor Raiden, and Commando Armor Raiden. A Metal Gear Rising PlayStation 3 theme completes the package, which will launch at retail and on the PlayStation Store for ¥2,480 ($25).
