XSEED Games is preparing to unleash Ragnarok Odyssey ACE in North America early next year on both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, with additional content set to arrive after the game's launch, free of charge. While both versions are priced at $39.99, those who pick it up on Vita when it streets will get a bonus soundtrack CD with 25 tracks.
The content coming after launch includes the version 1.10 update, which was released this week in Japan. The update adds online features to the action-RPG, like daily quests, online rankings, log-in bonuses, random card draws redeemed by using special items, and special rare random card draws.
Some fresh screens:
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE offers up cross-platform play between PS3 and Vita, as well as a bunch of new content. Among it is a new Tower of Yggdrasil dungeon with randomly-generated rooms and enemy placement, an enhanced battle system with new ACE skills, new bosses (two of which are pictured below), and more.
If you played the original Ragnarok Odyssey, you'll be able to transfer your character's basic physical features—name, face, job class, weapons, and monster cards—with the exception of clothing and any cards connected to the clothing. After XSEED busts ACE out in North America in early 2014, GungHo Online Entertainment America will bring it to Europe later in the year.
