Kurapika and Leorio Seen in New "Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission" Art

Second anime movie scheduled for December 27th

Hunter x Hunter has a particular habit of abruptly moving away from story lines, leaving character behind, and shuffling principals off stage for long periods. So, it wasn't a given that Leorio, or even the popular Kurapika, would be turning up in the second movie, Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission. But, fear not. Shonen Jump is displaying new art featuring the two Hunters.

Antagonist Jed can also be seen in the visual.

Set to be released December 27th, Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission will feature a war between dark and light hunters. The main guest stars will be Nakamura as Jed, a legendary warrior with a fated relation to Chairman Netero.  Amano Hiroyuki is ruthless lieutenant Ashura, and Yamamoto Mizuki is female warrior with a fragile side Rengoku

Super Girls' idols and NTV announcers Asamu Miura and Mami Sugino will be featured in the movie.

Japanese folk/pop rock duo Yuzu, whose cover "Nagareboshi Kirari" is being used as the ending for the Hunter x Hunter anime's Chimera Ant arc, and whose "Reason" was used as the ending for the series' Greed Island Arc and in the Phantom Rouge movie, will be returning for this second movie.

Yuzu will again be working with Kenichi Maeyamada on Last Mission's theme, "Hyouriitta," which will again be featured as an ending on the TV series.

Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Sket Dance, Hayate the Combat Butler) directs with a script from Nobuaki Kishima (the earlier TV series and OVAs).
