"Muramasa Rebirth" DLC Comes to North America in Early 2014

"Genroku Legends" DLC starts with "Fishy Tales of the Nekomata"

Aksys recently announced some details for the much-anticipated Muramasa Rebirth DLC, "Genroku Legends." The downloadable chapters will make their way to PS Vita in North America in early 2014, starting with "Fishy Tales of the Nekomata."

The chapter synopsis from Aksys' press release:

Tasked with taking a prized tea set to the shogun, Okoi and her brother set out on a journey to Edo. However, Okoi’s family’s chief retainer will stop at nothing to retake the tea set from Okoi. What once was a simple courier service mission just got a lot more dangerous!

Okoi fights with her razor-sharp claws, and can fuse with her companion Miike to transform into a particularly vicious warrior. The skill tree is replaced with a Forging mechanic that lets players improve and strengthen Okoi's abilities, and the story will introduce other new characters, enemies, and final bosses inspired by Japanese folklore.

Once "Fishy Tales of the Nekomata" has been concluded, players will also be able to use Okoi to take on all the boss characters in the main Muramasa Rebirth storylines.

A recently released  Japanese trailer highlights the DLC:
