"Nobunaga the Fool" Visuals and Character Designs Showcased

Macross' Shoji Kawamori will direct a tie-in stage play based on the East meets West sci-fi

The story of Joan of Arc has been told countless times in the west. And, the story of Japan's unifying warlord Oda Nobunaga has similarly been told countless times. Macross' Shoji Kawamori is bringing the two together in his own unique way with a series of stage productions that he will direct and a January anime series directed by Basquash's Eiichi Sato.

The stage production will feature live voice acting by voice actors, live acting by actors on stage and live music performance. 

The above character design is done by Kazuki Yone (Hakuoki), these characters will be projected on stage during memorable scenes and to show close ups of facial expressions while voice actors and actors on stage perform in sync.


The music will be done by Yoshimata Ryo, a Japanese composer famous for his work with Japanese dramas. The first event will be on December 18th.
