VIDEO: "The Last of Us: Left Behind" Story DLC Teased in New Trailer

The narrative expands with new tale early next year

Naughty Dog might be busy working on a new Uncharted for PlayStation 4, but the saga of The Last of Us continues on PS3 early next year. The developer's first ever single-player DLC is coming in the form of The Last of Us: Left Behind, which follows Ellie prior to meeting Joel. Dig into the very brief reveal teaser below.

More on the DLC from the PlayStation Blog:

In just a few short months since the release of The Last of Us, you have made it clear that Ellie has become one of your favorite characters in games. Today, we’re excited to confirm that you play as Ellie throughout the entirety of Left Behind.

Joining Ellie on this new adventure is Riley, her best friend and also a mentor of sorts at the military boarding school. Just as The Last of Us focused on the bond between Ellie and Joel, Left Behind explores the bond between Ellie and Riley through a series of events that will forever change both of their lives.

If you picked up a season pass for The Last of Us, the Left Behind DLC is included as part of that package. Sony plans on announcing a specific date once more details are ironed out, but if you just want the DLC itself pre-orders kick off on November 19 for $14.99.
