Man Arrested for Allegedly Threatening the Lives of Nintendo Executives

Alleged threats include a bomb threat to Nintendo headquarters

According to a report on Sankei News, a 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill two Nintendo executives. On May 20, he allegedly used Nintendo's online inquiry form to name two executives he was planning to kill "sooner or later."

While the names of the executives haven't been released, the threats didn't stop there. Other threats he wrote via Nintendo's site include the following bomb threat: "I'd planted bombs at Nintendo headquarters, tomorrow afternoon they're going to blow up, Nintendo go bankrupt." [sic]

Authorities say the man, who lives in Akita Prefecture, admitted to his actions after the Kyoto Police arrested him.

The IP address for the above comment matches that of the man's home computer. Police are currently investigating to see if there's any connection to similar threats made this past September.
