Their latest choice is another popular manga work by legendary artist Leiji Matsumoto, Galaxy Express 999. The manga was first serialized in Shonen Gahousha's Weekly Shonen King from 1977 to 1981, and one 116-episode TV anime series and three anime feature films were produced.

The wristwatch is released to celebrate Matsumoto's 60 years career as a manga artist since his debut in 1954 when he was 16, and it is supervised by Matsumoto himself. It comes with a replica of the unlimited use pass for the 999 which you can print your own name. The watch has two color editions, silver and black, and both edition are produced only 999 units. The price for both edition is 39,000 yen (about US$390).
