"Madoka Magica: Rebellion" Has Reached "K-ON! Movie" in 7th Week

The fans will receive a "WITCHES artwork" pamphlet at the theaters

According to Box Office Mojo, the Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion film has earned 1,903,310,658 yen (US$18,541,750) at the Japanese box office by the December 7–8 weekend, the seventh weekend since its release on October 26. The number has finally reached K-ON! Movie's (approximately) 1.9 billion yen in 2011, the highest grossing record by the film adaptation of the midnight run block TV anime. The film surpassed 1 billion yen (US$10 million) on November 7, in 13 days after its release and attracted 1 million moviegoers by November 15, in 21 days.

 

It is also confirmed that the film has drawn more than 1.3 million moviegoers so far. In commemoration of the record, the movie theaters across Japan will give a pamphlet "Witch Illustrated Encyclopedia -WITCHES artwork-" to those who see the film from December 14. The number-limited pamphlet describes the witches in the series designed by Gekidan Inu Curry. If you want to get the collector's item,
