VIDEO: "Pokémon Bank" Service Launches on 3DS Later this Month

Store up to 3,000 Pokémon in the cloud, transfer between games

Nintendo is getting ready to unleash the Pokémon Bank service on December 27, and a new video highlights some of the uses of the downloadable software. 



The features, via Nintendo's press release:

·  Deposit, withdraw, and manage up to 3,000 Pokémon in private boxes online through an internet connection

·  Transfer Pokémon from multiple copies of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, including the downloadable versions, using one Nintendo 3DS system

·  Transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Black, Pokémon WhitePokémon Black 2, and Pokémon White 2 to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y using the Poké Transporter, a linked application received when you download Pokémon Bank


Download Pokémon Bank and its linked Poké Transporter app between launch and January 31, 2014, and you'll get a complimentary trial pass that's good for 30 days of use. After this period ends, Pokémon Bank will run you $4.99 per year.
