First "Dead Rising 3" DLC Stars New Playable Character

"Operation Broken Eagle" arrives next week for $9.99

Dead Rising 3 DLC is on the way with "Operation Broken Eagle," which introduces a new character when it arrives next week. Xbox Live's Major Nelson posted about the upcoming chapter and included some details straight from the game's executive producer, Josh Bridge.

"Operation Broken Eagle" puts players in control of Spec Ops commander Adam Kane, who, in classic '80s video game plot fashion, is tasked with tracking down the missing President of the United States. According to Bridge, the mission will offer players "over the top military weapons and an armored vehicle that spews bullets." There's also a new outfit to further sweeten the pot.

Priced at $9.99, or available as part of the $30 season pass, the DLC is the first of four that tackle the world of Dead Rising 3 from different perspectives. If you have an Xbox One and just want to sample the game itself, a demo is now available, as well.
