Samuel L. Jackson stuck by the live-action remake of anime crime tragedy Kite when Ralph Ziman (Gangster’s Paradise: Jerusalema) took the helm following the death of director David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Plane). Now he introduces a promo package for the remake of the anime by Yasuomi Umetsu (Galilei Donna, upcoming Wizard Barristers).
Samuel L. Jackson stars in the role of corrupt detective Karl Aker (the original anime name is Akai).
India Eisley (The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, Maleficent) and Callan McAuliffe (Underground: The Julian Assange Story, The Great Gatsby) star as the movie's young assassins. The Weinstein Co. acquired worldwide rights back in May, following filming in South Africa earlier this year.
