Viz Announces Neon Alley Transition

service will move from weekly episodic to the ad-supported Hulu and subscription-based Hulu Plus Video-On-Demand services

VIZ Media has announced that effective April 1st, the company will transition its Neon Alley weekly episodic anime programming to the ad-supported Hulu and subscription-based Hulu Plus Video-On-Demand services.

Viewers will be able to watch all shows through NeonAlley.com and Hulu.com, and with the Hulu Plus subscription.

A FAQ can be found at here. It mentions that plans for Canadian service will be announced soon, and that Current members who are in the middle of their membership (recurring or pre-paid) will be able to continue accessing Neon Alley through the site and the current apps as long as they remain a member through 3/31. No new membership sign ups will be taken as of 2/11/14.
