34-Year-Old Man Arrested for Disturbing Yukari Tamura's Concert

"I wanted to give up my longing for her."

On March 2, Osaka Prefectural Police's Tenma Station arrested a 34-year-old male office worker from Takahama-cho, Fukui Prefecture, on suspicion of forcible obstruction of business for disturbing popular anime voice actress/singer Yukari Tamura's concert at Osaka International Convention Center (known as Grancube Osaka).

According to the police, the suspect ran up from the rear auditorium right after the start of the concert, then hurled a portable radio (9cm x 5.5cm x 2.5cm) at the stage around at 6:20 pm on the same day. While the radio only hit the wall and there were no causalities including Tamura and about 2,600 audience, the concert was interrupted for half an hour. She restarted the concert from the beginning after that. The suspect has admitted his guilt and said, "I have been a fan of her. But I wanted to give up my longing for her."

As reported a few times, Yukari Tamura is a member of the famous voice actress group "Juu-nana-sai

Kyou" (17-year-old religion) founded by Kikuko Inoue (Belldandy in Oh My Goddess!). The members are

allowed to call themselves "17-year-old" as long as they want. Tamura even released a live DVD/Blu-ray

titled "I am Seventeen! Yukari's Festival 2013" in July 2013. But at the recent concert "LOVE ♡ LIVE 2014

Spring" held at Saitama Super Arena on February 15 and 16, she suddenly confessed her real age (37 at

the time) to the fans. The confession shocked them who had shared the fan community concept "Yukari

Kingdom" with her, where the fans can treat her as "Princess Yukari" who is 17-year-old forever. Some

people think her unexpected confession may have caused his desperate action.
