One Peace Books Licenses "Raqiya" Manga

Masao Yajima and Boichi's series to arrive in October

Raqiya—a manga written by Masao Yajima (Human Crossing) and illustrated by Boichi (Sun-Ken Rock)—is officially on its way to North America. Amazon has both volumes listed for an October release, and publisher One Peace Books recently confirmed the license.

The series originally began serialization in Kodansha's Morning magazine in 2008, and the final volume made its way to Japanese retailers in 2010. Here's the synopsis from Amazon's listing of volume 1:

A truck driver loses control in the Nevada desert and leaves one family dead in an explosive crash. But there is a sole survivor, Luna Hazuki, who makes a pact with a mysterious demon to regain the happiness that was robbed from her. Seven years later she is still living with the family that was supposed to be dead. But little does Luna know that the pact she made will lead to the Apocalypse and the end of the human race.
