Her 37th single "Seiken Nante Iranai" hits stores on May 14

Voice actress Yui Sakakibara made her singer debut with 1st single "jewelry days" (PC game August Fan Box theme song) in August 2004. So far she has released 36 singles and 10 original albums. Her most successful single in the Oricon rankings was 8th "Soshite Boku wa.../Rise" which was released in October 2007 and took a 23rd place. "Soshite Boku wa" was used as the OP theme for the 2007 TV anime PRISM ARK and "RISE" was for the ED theme for the PS2 game PRISM ARK -AWAKE-.

 

Her upcoming 37th single "Seiken Nante Iranai" (I don't need a sacred sword) is now featured as the OP theme song for the 2014 spring TV anime Dragonar Academy. The song is written/composed by the leader of Elements Garden, Noriyasu Agematsu, who has written many of Nana Mizuki's hit songs including the Oricon daily chart No.1 song "Shin'ai" (19th single in January 2009). The "Seiken Nante Iranai" CD single will be released in Japan on May 14. As a voice actress, Sakakibara is also playing

Navi in the TV anime.
