VIDEO: "Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment" Kirito Ad and Plans

DLC updates to make the game feel like an MMORPG, with producer hoping to some day make an actual SAO MMORPG

With Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment being released for the PS Vita in Japan today, Bandai Namco has posted a 60-second Kirito version ad for the game.



Meanwhile, Dengeki spoke to producer Futami Takakai again, who laid out plays to update Hollow Fragment with DLC in a way that will make the game feel like a MMORPG, later adding that he dreams of someday making an actual MMORPG based on SAO.  



These regular DLC updates kick off in May:


May 1

  • Adventurer’s support weapon set
  • Auto-attack support-use set
  • Black two-handed sword

May 15

  • Avatar (Spriggan Kirito face)
  • A customisation kit to achieve Kirito’s look in Fairy Dance

May 22

  • Hollow Mission: The Nightmare King’s Requiem
  • Yuuki’s Sword

May 29

  • Avatar (Spriggan Kirito Hair (Later Part))
  • ALfheim Online special set
A big update hits in July with the level cap being raised to 250, a "Grand Quest" event, new location, the ability to date Sachi, with the accompanying CD, and the ability to partner with information broker Argo.



Dengeki also posted a few gameplay previews, with a look at its new Burst Gauge and partner interaction:

A Western release the game has also been planned.
