Capcom Confirms "Ultra Street Fighter IV" Console/PC Release Dates

First batch of videos arrive to detail character balance changes

Earlier today Capcom came through with a full list of North America release dates for the console and PC versions of Ultra Street Fighter IV. Since there are a handful of different ways to pick it up, here's a quick and easy rundown:


Digital Upgrade versions ($14.99)

PlayStation 3 (PSN) - June 3

Xbox 360 (XBL) - June 4


Retail ($39.99)

PlayStation 3 (as well as the full $39.99 digital bundle) - August 5

Xbox 360 - August 5



Digital upgrade ($14.99) and full digital bundle ($29.99) - August 8


Getting the retail versions or full digital bundles net you all previously released costumes for the series.


We previously posted about some of the crazy costumes the new roster additions will be getting for pre-ordering Ultra SFIV, and now you can see some of them in motion in the trailer below.

Capcom's description of USFIV

In Ultra Street Fighter IV, Poison, Hugo, Elena, Rolento and Decapre join the fight, complete with new animations and their own unique play styles, bringing the final roster count to a massive 44 characters. Six new battle environments (including Pitstop 109, Cosmic Elevator, Half Pipe and more) provide a thrilling and colorful backdrop to the action. Direct fan feedback was gathered on all ofSuper Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition’s original 39 characters and core system mechanics in order to achieve the most balancedStreet Fighter ever. In addition to the action-packed new content and the finely-tuned rebalanced gameplay, the new version features a host of new features and modes that are sure to test even the most well traveled world warrior.
