Prior to the new JoJo's Bizarre Adventure TV series, the 1993 and 2000 OVAs were released in North America by a now defunct company called Super Techno Arts and part III of the manga was published by Viz. Long out of print, it was hard to find volumes of the cult series without a hefty mark-up. That's changed with reprints of the manga now leaving Viz's warehouse.
Already volumes that were going for more than $60 are listed for under $9.
