"Samurai Warriors 4" Set for October in the West, Anime Special Previewed

Hack-and-slasher heads to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita

Tecmo Koei recently announced plans to bring Samurai Warriors 4 to the west this fall, and that date has been narrowed down to October 21 in North America and October 24 in Europe. The hack-and-slash action is coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita.

Only the PlayStation 4 version will be available at retail, at least in North America, priced at $59.99. The PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions will be on the PlayStation Store to purchase for $49.99 and $39.99, respectively.

Samurai Warriors 4 will be making an appearance at Sony's E3 booth next week, and you can see the opening movie and a preview of the 10th anniversary anime special, which was bundled with the game's PS3 premium box when it hit Japan in March, below.
