In March, SB Creative's light novel imprint GA Bunko announced that an anime adaptation of Kota Nozomi's love comedy/action series Inou-Battle wa Nichijo-kei no Naka de/INOU-Battle in the Usually Daze was in the works by Trigger. After a couple of quiet months, the series' lead turned up on Trigger's Anime Expo flyer, which was soon followed by an unconfirmed staff listing making the rounds on Japanese anime blogs.
Reportly Masahiko Otsuka (FLCL, Panty and Stocking) is chief director and series composition writer. Strike Witches episode director Masanori Takahashi is listed as director with animator Satoshi Yamaguchi on character design.
Listed cast includes:
Jurai Ando: Nobuhiko Okamoto
Tomoyo Kanzaki: Haruka Yamazaki
Hatoko Kushikawa: Saori Hayami
Sayumi Takanashi: Risa Taneda
Chifuyu Himeki: Yamashita Nanami
The manga adaptation of the novel by Kosuke Kurose has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Comp-Ace since the September 2013 issue and the first tankobon volume is scheduled to be published on March 26. Kurose has already posted a commemorative illustration for the anime project on his official Twitter account.
The story revolves around five members of literary club at Senkou high school. One day, they suddenly get supernatural power. But their school life is still peaceful and quite, nothing around them has changed. It seems there is no chance to use the power at all.... Then they decide to just waste it in their daily life.
