"Mega Man Legends"-Style "Mighty No. 9" Game is Something Inafune Would Consider

Keiji Inafune gets a big response during SGC 2014 Q&A

Keiji Inafune's Mega Man spiritual successor Mighty No. 9 isn't close to being out yet, but it's never too early to think about other directions for the series. During an SGC 2014 Q&A hosted by ScrewAttack, one of the audience members asked if Inafune would be interested in making a Mega Man Legends-style take on the side-scroller.

Inafune responded by saying he would love to go in different directions so long as they fit the series. He then asked the audience if they would consider backing a Mega Man Legends inspired take on Mighty No. 9 and, as you'll see in the video below, the response speaks for itself.

The translator made sure to remind everyone that there was nothing to announce today, but it's cool to know that this is something Inafune would potentially be interested in pursuing. In the meantime, we still have to wait until spring 2015 for Mighty No. 9 itself.
