"Final Fantasy" Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi to Host PAX Prime Panel

Mistwalker founder to discuss his personal history of developing RPGs

PAX Prime is adding one of gaming's greats to its convention lineup with the announcement that Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi will be hosting his own panel. Sakaguchi—who went on to found his own development studio, Mistwalker, and create games like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, The Last Story, and more—will use the panel to discuss his personal history of developing RPGs. 


Sakaguchi will also be sharing some new information on his upcoming mobile RPG Terra Battle,  which comes from Mistwalker and features music by Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.

Panel Title: Hironobu Sakaguchi Reflection: Past, Present, Future of RPGs

Location & Time: Hedgehog Theatre on August 29 from 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

About: Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the popular Final Fantasy and founder of Mistwalker Corporation, will make a rare public appearance to discuss his history on the development of role-playing games from over 30 years in the industry.  Sakaguchi will also reveal more information on his upcoming mobile RPG, Terra Battle.


Terra Battle is due out on iOS and Android as a free app with in-app purchases this October. PAX Prime takes place August 29 - September 1 in Seattle, WA.
