VIDEO: Warner Bros. to Release "RWBY" in Japan

Described by the Matt Hullum, CEO of Rooster Teeth as the first "American-made anime" to be marketed in Japan, and described by its Japanese distributors as a hit "CGI Animation produced by up-and-coming creators in the US" with over 40 million Youtube views, RWBY is making its way to Japan.


In addition to planning a 2015 Japanese dubbed DVD and Blu-ray release of the CG-animated series about schoolgirl monster slayers, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Japan has licensed merchandising rights.


Warner Bros. has put together a special promo to be shown at this weekend's Comiket.


The series definitely already has a following in Japan, with thousands of tributes on art portal Pixiv and cosplay at events like Comiket.
