As part of the celebration commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Japanese fashion company, Kuipo, American designer Anna Sui is teaming up with seven famous manga to produce a line of high-concept ladies' fashion goods.

The goods include items such as purses, tote bags, coin pouches, backpacks, and T-shirts, all of which bear artwork inspired by popular manga.

The manga involved in the collaboration are: Osamu Tezuka's Unico and Princess Knight; Riyoko Ikeda's Rose of Versaille; Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura; Mineo Maya's Patalliro!; Akiko Higashimura's Princess Jellyfish; and Ai Yazawa's Paradise Kiss.

Of the collaboration, Anna Sui says: "I have always been a big fan of Japanese pop culture, so I was very honored to be asked to do this unprecedented collaboration with seven exciting Manga artists to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Kuipo! It’s so cool to be working with many of the wonderful illustrators whose work I admire. I’m sure all these Kuipo Manga pieces will become hot collector’s items, for both Manga enthusiasts and fans of Anna Sui!"
