"Attack on Titan" Creator Contributes To "Splatoon" Mook

Pia release scheduled for March 23

On March 23rd, Pia is set to release a Splatoon mook (magazine/book) with a look at the Nintendo competitive shooter's history, design and merchandise, gameplay hints and a series of celebrity interviews, including voice actors Takuya Eguchi (My Love Story!!'s Takeo Gouda) and Ruriko Aoki ([email protected] Cinderella Girls' Riina Tada), Yoshiyuki Hirai (comedian from "America Zarigani), Akira Kawashima (tv host) and Attack on Titan creator Hajime Isayama. 


Isayama's interview is quoted as calling the game a "chintsūzai (analgesic)" to take away some of the bitterness of the world.


The book, with bonus bandana, sells for 1,404yen.

In other Splatoon doings, next splatfest for North America will be preferred creation: Snowman vs Sandcastle (March 18/19) and Europe/Oceania will be preferred gadget: Hoverboard vs Jet Pack (March 19/20)
