"Dragon Quest XI" Confirmed For Nintendo NX

The latest iteration of the "Dragon Quest" series is coming to Nintendo's latest platform.

The latest issue of Nintendo Dream all but confirms that the upcoming Dragon Quest XI will indeed launch for Nintendo's upcoming NX platform.

According to a discussion between series creator Yuji Horii, Pokemon producer Junichi Masuda, and Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai, Horii came out and said there would be a NX version of Dragon Quest XI coming soon, in addition to one for PS4 and one for 3DS. Supposedly they'll be released at the same time as well, as there would be "spoilers" if they released one at a time.

Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time is currently aiming for a Japanese release ahead of May 27, 2017, but the NX version is releasing March 2017 -- perhaps they'll still all be released simultaneously, if possible. Check out the English transcript of the interview here.
