"Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace" Set to Become Stage Play

A new stage adaptation of the Edogawa Rampo-inspired anime will feature one of the lead voice actors reprising her role live.

This April, Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace will be brought to life for a limited run in Tokyo, featuring at least one member of the original voice cast playing their role live onstage.

Based on the works of mystery writer Edogawa Rampo, Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace follows genius teenage detective Kogoro Agechi and his assistant, the girlish Kobayashi, as they solve gory murders and follow the trail of the seemingly immortal killer known as Twenty Faces.

So far, only one member of the live cast has been announced: Rie Takahashi, who voices Kobayashi in the anime, will reprise her role onstage. Further cast members will be announced over time.

The play, produced by Scissors Blitz, will be performed at select times between Wednesday, April 12 and Sunday, April 16 at Theatre Sun Mall in Shinjuku.
