Studio Trigger Graffitis Department Store Wall to Perfection

Shibuya Parco opens its walls to artists during its final ten days before renovations.

Japanese fashion icon Shibuya Parco is closing its doors... temporarily. The department store, which opened in 1973, is closing down for three years for renovations to its aging structures.

Back in August, fans of the chain held a "memorial parade" to bid the store a temporary farewell. And now, in one final gesture, Studio Trigger has uploaded a time-lapse of a ten-day art mural they were invited to do before things got underway.

You'll be able to spot characters from Trigger titles like Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia in the mix, along with notes to Parco and its visitors. A stray Poliwag even seems to have made its way in!

Shibuya Parco is expected to reopen in 2019.
